Outfit Omen
Wearable sculpture
Outfit Omen turns a feeling into a feed. Users type or speak how they're feeling, and the app surfaces real-time clothing and style news matched to that mood, so getting dressed starts from an emotional cue rather than a search query.
I designed and built it end to end. The front end runs on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with p5.js driving the animated search interface and overlay results, plus voice input through the mic. Live content comes from a filtered News API feed, and a companion scraper pulls Vogue runway imagery to build out a visual collection.

How it works
Construction
The hardest part was everything the user never sees. The News API key couldn't live in the browser, so I built a Node and Express proxy to hide the key and route requests, which meant learning to run a local server and work in the terminal from scratch. Along the way I debugged broken HTML structure and wired the front end, proxy, and scraper into one working system.
